Student Health Services (SHS) provides primary and mental health care for UNC Greensboro
students. As a health organization operating within an academic institution, we are committed

Position Summary
The Spartan Recovery Program is a program of Student Health Services Mental Health and Well-Being that is available, free of charge, to UNCG students in all phases of recovery from addiction to alcohol and/or other drugs. The SRP is not a treatment program; rather, we focus on creating a network of recovery support services that promote the personal, academic, and professional goals of students in recovery. The vision of the SRP is to be a model recovery-minded community that engages and encourages UNCG students in their pursuit of an enriched college experience and sustained recovery.
The SRP creates a recovery-minded community of empowerment, purpose, and inclusion, in which UNCG students in all phases of recovery can pursue their personal, professional, and academic goals for the purpose of enhancing personal wellness and contributions to the global community. The program providers Peer Support Recovery Coaching, recreational activities, monthly Celebration of Recovery events, opportunities for personal, professional, and academic development, housing supports, referral to additional treatment and support services. This
SRP Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating and further developing the Spartan Recovery Program (SRP) at UNCG. The person in this position will develop and implement educational, social, and service programs as described above for the SRP, as well as oversee all aspects of the program, including promotion of the program.
