Senior Test Analyst – Legacy Application Modernization (Ref: 5830)
Location: West Sacramento, CA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week mandatory
Engagement: Consulting Contract 12-36 months
Tax Term: W2 rate 45-55 DOE or C2C $50-60 DOE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support a large-scale legacy application modernization initiative for a major public-sector organization. The consultant will work closely with business, functional, and technical testing teams and will be responsible for test execution coordination, defect management, traceability, metrics, SQL-based data validation, and review and development of key testing deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience within the last 12 years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations and leading or participating in technical implementation or modernization of legacy applications.
- 10+ years within the last 12 years reviewing, developing, and/or contributing to business requirements, business rules, technical/service requirements, test strategies, test plans, test cases, transition plans, and traceability matrices.
- 8+ years within the last 12 years using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as JAMA to manage requirements, specifications, test cases, defects, and project traceability.
- 8+ years within the last 12 years working hands-on with large databases and writing SQL queries to identify and validate data for application and interface testing.
- Ability to work onsite in West Sacramento 2–3 days per week as part of a hybrid mandatory work model.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience as a Test Analyst supporting a large public pension or retirement system.
- Experience leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension- or retirement-related software development projects.
- 5+ years within the last 12 years designing, developing, and executing automated testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, and/or Robot Framework.
