    The Senior Test Analyst is a practical, hands on position. The incumbent is competent in all aspects of the product life cycle in the Verification & Validation discipline, including that for complex systems. They are also able to review and critique test plans, test designs and all required input documents and trains others.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Drive to find and resolve hidden problems before they become apparent to others

    Carry out requirements capture, analysis and modelling to contribute to the technical

    design of manual and automated test solutions

    Contribute to test planning (test strategy, sizing and costing of phases, actions and tasks) and test coordination, potentially leading test efforts for larger projects

    Application and execution of both manual and automated tests as part of an effective test strategy, and in reference to industry best practices and agreed standards, and advocacy for improvements to these processes

    Contributing to the building and maintaining of robust automated test capabilities, including writing test scripts for new features, enhancing automation libraries, and improving overall test stability

    Mentoring / advising / training / assisting of other engineers and testers in manual and automated testing

    Demonstrating up-to-date knowledge in the discipline by contributions in technical discussions, writing technical papers/studies and delivering presentations as requested

    Leadership of the test effort by demonstration of innovation and depth of knowledge across a broad range of test and engineering activities within the discipline

    Communicate to align project stakeholder expectations

    Ability to work as a member of a small team

    Interact with test teams and other groups of people within the company

    Join a project already in progress and be productive with an existing codebase

    Participate in Agile-based process

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

    At least 5 years as a Technical Tester (preferably with distributed networked systems)

    Small lot vocation automotive test experience

    Experience of multiple testing methodologies

    Proven track record of project delivery

    Has experience and/or drive to mentor peer testers and share knowledge across the Testing function

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Familiarity with Agile methodology

    Desired to bring new technologies, new processes and new philosophies to the table and work with other senior team members to continually find better ways to do things

    Experience mentoring junior level developers

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
