Position Overview:
- Well organized, detail-oriented, flexible to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines with a safety mindset.
- Also exercise good judgment, integrity, and render sound business decisions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and able to produce documentation on solutions and system design.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of various computing platforms from servers, networks, storage including scripting experience for automation.
Required Qualifications:
- Highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency.
- Windows Server operating systems, Linux Operating Systems, users administration, file system, software, and services
- Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration
- Active Directory management, including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup
- In-Depth Knowledge of Nutanix Hypervisor Migration best practices – Required
- In-Depth Knowledge of VMware Hypervisor Migration to Nutanix AHV Hypervisor
- Knowledge in Nutanix Cluster Deployment - required
- Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall
- Fundamental understanding of security principles, ACL, Encryption
- Scripting: PowerShell, bash, ksh or perl for automating routine tasks
- Experienced with monitoring system health and performance, able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts
- Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems, applications and data
- Patch and firmware installation and management
- Understanding of Baselining, utilizing Industrial Defender – preferred
- Candidate must be knowledgeable of Darksite patching of Nutanix Hypervisor and components as well as other Hypervisors. - preferred
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in IT Support.
- Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and how it effects best practices in Datacenters - Preferred
- Design and implementation of VMware vSphere and Nutanix environments
- Managed Nutanix clusters
- Nutanix Administration
- Nutanix Support Specialist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to intrepid, modify and write scripts and SQL queries
- Automation Scripts
Pay Rate: $85.00-$99.00/Hour
