BlueWave is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager for a hospitality and entertainment client based in the Orlando, Florida area. As Senior Technical Project Manager, you will lead complex, related technology projects through the full delivery lifecycle while managing schedules, scope, quality, budgets, dependencies, and performance risks. You will collaborate with technical teams, business partners, and leadership to align delivery plans with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive technical projects through the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
- Coordinate parallel projects and manage cross-project dependencies within a broader program.
- Partner with software engineers, product managers, architects, business partners, and leadership to establish effective delivery processes.
- Lead and optimize Agile ceremonies and project management processes for large teams.
- Monitor program plans and adjust priorities in response to changes while maintaining alignment with business goals.
- Establish governance practices and provide senior-level program oversight.
- Manage fiscal controls, program expenditures, return-on-investment reporting, and large project budgets.
- Coordinate hardware and software procurement for assigned projects.
- Develop the processes and infrastructure needed to support program delivery.
- Coach and mentor teams on project management practices and delivery methodologies.
Requirements
- At least five years of technical project or program management experience supporting technical teams that develop enterprise solutions.
- Understanding of cloud technologies, APIs, services, databases, software development lifecycles, platform dependencies, and technical architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies, including the practical blending of approaches.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, continuous integration and delivery, test-driven development, and software testing concepts.
- Experience coaching and mentoring teams on project management practices.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, dependency-mapping, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing large project budgets.
- Proficiency with productivity, presentation, project portfolio management, work management, and data visualization tools.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience supporting large-scale, global software development programs preferred.
- Agile certification, such as CSM, PMI-ACP, CSPO, SAFe, or LeSS, preferred.
Employment Type: 12-month contract; hybrid in the Orlando, Florida area with four onsite days per week
