    Description

    The Sr Team Member Experience Specialist leads programs and initiatives that strengthen engagement and support an inclusive, values-driven workplace. This role manages team member listening efforts and converts feedback into insights that help leaders take meaningful action. The Sr Specialist also provides guidance for network groups, culture initiatives, veteran programs, recognition efforts, and People First Walks while identifying opportunities to improve the overall team member experience.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    Lead enterprise engagement surveys and other listening efforts that gather meaningful feedback from team members.

    Conduct analysis of engagement results and team member feedback to identify trends that affect retention and the overall team member experience.

    Translate complex findings into clear reports and recommendations that help leaders understand team member needs and determine appropriate actions.

    Guide action planning and follow-up efforts that turn team member feedback into measurable improvements.

    Design and improve frameworks for Team Member Network Groups and Interest Groups that strengthen connection and O'Reilly culture.

    Develop culture and awareness initiatives that reinforce O'Reilly values and advance business objectives.

    Lead veteran engagement programs that promote advocacy, ambassadorship, and recognition.

    Develop recognition efforts that encourage participation and strengthen the team member experience.

    Manage People First Walks and related feedback initiatives from planning through final follow-up.

    Advise leaders and Team Member Network Group representatives on approaches that increase program participation and effectiveness.

    Build cross-functional partnerships with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Human Resources, and Communications to promote a consistent team member experience.

    Develop program communications and awareness materials that are aligned with O'Reilly's culture and employer brand.

    Evaluate program effectiveness through data and team member feedback and use the findings to improve engagement programs.

    Lead or support team member experience projects that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and business areas.

    Provide informal guidance and technical support to colleagues working on engagement programs, reporting, and team member communications.

    Provide professional and responsive customer service when answering department phone calls and supporting Learning & Development phone coverage.

    Perform all other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    REQUIRED

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business, Psychology, Learning & Development, or a related field.

    Five or more years of relevant experience in team member experience, employee engagement, Human Resources, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Communications, or a related field.

    Demonstrated knowledge of employee engagement, organizational culture, recognition, belonging, and employee experience practices.

    Background leading or independently managing engagement, culture, recognition, or team member experience programs.

    Advanced ability to analyze survey results and other team member data to identify trends and develop meaningful insights.

    Strong reporting and presentation skills with the ability to communicate findings and recommendations to leaders.

    Proven project and program management skills with the ability to coordinate complex work across multiple stakeholders.

    Knowledge of employee resource groups, network groups, affinity groups, committees, or other volunteer-led programs.

    Ability to provide consultation and guidance to leaders or program representatives on team member experience practices.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor information to different audiences.

    Strong organizational ability and attention to detail while handling information with confidentiality and professionalism.

    Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional environment.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including the development of executive-ready presentations.

    Commitment to creating an engaging, inclusive, and values-driven team member experience.

    DESIRED

    Experience presenting engagement findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

    Background leading veteran programs, community outreach, volunteer efforts, or ambassador initiatives.

    Skill developing newsletters, videos, digital content, and other communications that encourage program participation.

    Proficiency with survey platforms, reporting applications, or data visualization tools.

    Knowledge of change management, employee communications, employer branding, or organizational effectiveness principles.

    Experience improving established programs through performance measures, benchmarking, or team member feedback.

    About Company

    It started with a father and son - Charles Francis "C.F." and Charles H. "Chub" O’Reilly. Together they had the courage and confidence to venture out on their own. Along with 11 others who shared the same desire to offer great customer service and auto parts availability, the doors of O’Reilly Automotive, Inc. opened on December 2, 1957.

    Now, more than 61 years later, the 77,000-plus team members at O’Reilly Auto Parts are proud of the company’s achievements over the years.

    During our early years, we focused on sales and slow and steady growth. At the end of our first year, sales totaled $700,000, and by 1961 volume reached $1.3 million. For the first seven years of operation, there was one store in Springfield, MO, until the second opened in July 1964. In March 1975, annual sales volume rose to $7 million and a 52,000 square-foot facility was built in Springfield for the O’Reilly/Ozark warehouse operation. By that time, the company had nine stores, all located in southwest Missouri.

    The long range plans and stability of the company were solidified by a public offering of company stock in April 1993. Since that time, the Company has grown through new store and distribution center openings, as well as numerous mergers and acquisitions. O’Reilly currently operates stores in 47 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, and distribution centers in 27 locations.

    Dramatic changes in technology, inventory control, facilities, and sheer size mark the O’Reilly growth and success story. But, it is our spirit of teamwork - how important it was then and how important it remains - that drives our performance. The company’s values and culture that started with the original 13 employee/owners remain evident and strong as we expand and develop Team O’Reilly.

    We serve two distinct customer bases - the professional (installer) customers who provide auto repair services to their customers (DIFM - do it for me), and retail "walk-in" customers (DIY - do it yourself). Our dual-market strategy continues to differentiate us from the competition and is a major factor in our ongoing success. Depending on a store’s professional versus retail customer mix, more than 95 percent of our locations have team members dedicated to our professional customers, offering them separate counters, phone lines, and a delivery fleet that totals 18,455 vehicles. We also have a professional sales team, consisting of territory sales managers and in-store sales specialists, responsible for calling on our professional customers and building sound business partnerships to ensure O’Reilly is the First Call for their auto parts needs.
