This role is suited for a highly experienced operator with deep understanding of Fifth\u2011Generation Fighter/Strike capabilities, advanced sensors, weapons, and multi\u2011platform tactics.\n \nAs part of the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team, you will plan, build, execute, and debrief complex tactical scenarios for test and training events. You will work with stakeholders, simulator operators, and mission planners to ensure realistic representation of Blue/Red force capabilities, platform behaviors, and threat environments. This position directly contributes to large\u2011force exercises, mission rehearsals, and T&E events supporting the Navy and joint warfighters.\n \nImpact\n \nYour operational expertise will shape mission realism used to evaluate next\u2011generation capabilities, advanced weapon systems, and tactics development. You will help ensure aviators, analysts, and test teams experience scenarios that faithfully reflect real\u2011world tactical environments\u2014strengthening mission readiness and decision-making.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Operate simulation cockpits or consoles to replicate Bomber and Fighter/Strike aircraft capabilities, including advanced sensors, HOTAS workflows, and multi\u2011ship tactics.\n Plan, design, execute, and debrief tactical missions and scenarios supporting test, training, and evaluation events in JSE.\n Act as Mission Director when required, ensuring coordinated execution of multi\u2011platform scenarios.\n Provide subject matter expertise on 5th\u2011Gen platform employment, threat and friendly TTPs, weapons effects, EW, C2, and multi\u2011domain integration.\n Coordinate with simulator operators and test participants to manage both manned and constructive entities during events.\n Orchestrate Large Force Exercises (LFEs), including multi\u2011platform integration and scenario sequencing.\n Develop, refine, and support system requirements, operational workflows, system development, and test and evaluation activities.\n Create and maintain mission\u2011planning materials, briefing/academic content, and scenario documentation.\n Operate JIAB components, simulation applications, and debriefing tools; log and troubleshoot software issues.\n Support integration of new aircraft, weapons, sensors, and threat models into JSE.\n Provide instructor\u2011level insights to shape tactical training and test event design.\n May perform additional coordination, administrative, or managerial tasks as needed.\n \nWhat you must have\n\n 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience.\n Operational, tactical, training, or test experience involving military platforms; weapons systems; sensors; EW; C2; UAV operations; or avionics/mission systems.\n Prior operational, mission crew, or tactical training/test platform crewmember experience (aircrew or simulator equivalent).\n Strong communication, briefing, and technical collaboration skills.\n Ability to support on\u2011site operations; remote work is not available for this position.\n Ability to work morning or evening shifts to meet test/training schedules.\n Current or active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.\n U.S. Citizenship is required.\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n Degree in a related field is preferred.\n Current or active TS/SCI clearance.\n Experience with GRID, NGTS, DIADS, ART, WSCE, FIAB, VATS, HIS, or other JSE\u2011related simulation systems.\n Weapons School graduate (any service).\n Prior qualification in a 5th\u2011Generation aircraft or simulator (F\u201135, F\u201122, etc.).\n Experience supporting or executing scenarios within the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).\n \nPhysical Requirements\n\n Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity to support simulation console operation and mission management tasks.\n Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.\n \nHII is more than a job - it's an opportunity to build a new future.
