Akkodis is seeking an Sr Systems Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, administering, and enhancing the IBM ELM/Jazz platform to support digital thread initiatives, requirements traceability, and safety-critical aerospace development processes.

Rate Range: $95/hour to $101/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Systems Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain the IBM ELM/Jazz platform, including DOORS Next Gen, EWM, ETM, Rhapsody, GCM, and JTS, to support engineering lifecycle management and digital thread initiatives.

• Develop and manage integrations between IBM ELM and enterprise systems such as PLM, CAD, ERP, and MES using OSLC, REST APIs, and middleware solutions.

• Support aerospace compliance and requirements traceability by aligning platform workflows with ARP4754, DO-178C, and DO-254 standards and maintaining end-to-end verification records.

• Configure platform workflows, access controls, project areas, automation scripts, reporting dashboards, and compliance metrics to improve engineering efficiency and governance.

• Collaborate with systems engineering, quality, software, and hardware teams to manage requirements, change requests, test management processes, and lifecycle data synchronization.

• Troubleshoot platform issues, optimize system performance, and provide technical leadership for Digital Thread architecture, MBSE initiatives, and safety-critical engineering processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering tools administration, IBM ELM/Jazz platform support, Digital Thread implementation, or Engineering Lifecycle Management within highly regulated industries.

• Strong hands-on experience with IBM ELM Suite (DOORS Next Gen, EWM, ETM, Rhapsody, GCM, and JTS), OSLC integrations, REST APIs, Digital Thread architecture, PLM integrations (Teamcenter, Windchill, or 3DEXPERIENCE), and lifecycle management processes.

• Proven expertise in aerospace compliance frameworks including ARP4754A/B, DO-178C, and DO-254, with experience in Requirements-Based Engineering (RBE), Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), traceability management, automation, reporting, and safety-critical systems development.

Pay Details: $95.00 to $101.00 per hour
