Temple Health is seeking an experienced Sr Systems Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise monitoring capabilities. This role will serve as the technical lead for monitoring and observability initiatives, leveraging Zabbix and related technologies to improve visibility, alerting, and operational responsiveness across infrastructure and application environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in monitoring technologies, observability, data analysis, alert management, infrastructure operations, and systems administration, along with a collaborative approach to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Application, Security, and Service Management teams to implement monitoring requirements.
Analyze performance trends and identify opportunities for service improvement.
Maintain monitoring documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the enterprise monitoring framework.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Required or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
5 years experience with IT technical support Required
5 years experience with IT infrastructure support Required
3+ years of direct experience implementing, administering, and supporting infrastructure monitoring platforms
2+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience Preferred
1+ year of experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment Preferred
Licenses
Zabbix Certified Specialist (ZCS) Preferred
Zabbix Certified Professional (ZCP) Preferred
Azure Fundamentals Preferred
