Sr. System/Network Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Network-Focused Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support complex client network environments. This role is responsible for advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, firewall management, wireless infrastructure, and network projects while serving as a senior technical escalation resource.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2/Layer 3 network environments.
• Manage switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and wireless networks.
• Support multi-site WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead network implementations, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance, routing, and connectivity issues.
• Configure firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standards.
• Collaborate with project and service teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of network or systems engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, SonicWall, Aruba, Ubiquiti, or Palo Alto.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-site environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills.
• MSP experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Fortinet NSE, PCNSE, or equivalent.
