Job Overview:
The Senior Supply Chain Financial, S&OP & Planning Analyst is a high-impact, hybrid role bridging the gap between data science, corporate finance, and physical telecom infrastructure operations. This individual acts as the technical and operational engine for the supply chain, ensuring that inventory ledgers accurately align with the realities of field deployments. The role involves executing advanced contractor contract pricing models, performing engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) validations, leading data-driven Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, and conducting rigorous pre-forecasting and post-performance reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, SQL querying, and operational analysis, with a willingness to travel for warehouse inventory validation and ensure systemic data integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Forecasting, S&OP & Financial Modeling:
    • Analyze deployment schedules, engineering design variations, and historical run-rates to predict future demand for materials.
    • Build and maintain financial models to compare actual outcomes against budgets, identifying cost optimization risks.
    • Track precise telecom build metrics, including cost-per-foot and capital cost per customer location.
    • Deliver predictive financial modeling and conduct audits to reconcile expenditures against budgets.
  • Contractor Pricing, BOMs & Procurement Planning:
    • Conduct comparative cost analyses between contractor proposals and design options.
    • Build contract pricing models to forecast expenditure variations and budgetary impacts.
    • Audit engineered Bills of Materials (BOMs) against inventory levels to identify deficits and procurement needs.
  • Inventory Control, Financial Auditing & Cross-Functional Alignment:
    • Travel up to 25% to perform physical inventory counts and asset valuation audits.
    • Monitor field transfers and partner with Finance to maintain data alignment across systems.
    • Optimize inventory accuracy, reduce carrying costs, and mitigate supply shortages.
  • Data Preparation & Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Extract, clean, and consolidate financial and material data from various systems.
    • Design and maintain dashboards to present KPIs and inventory health metrics.
    • Collaborate with Field Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Procurement to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in corporate finance, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain analytics, preferably in telecommunications or utility construction.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% for onsite auditing.
  • Technical & Analytical Systems Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macros, advanced modeling, pivot tables) and SQL database management.
    • Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
    • Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and ERP systems like Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
    • Strong communication skills to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
  • Certifications:
    • Highly Preferred: APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management).
    • Highly Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
