Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analsyst

Our client needs a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Sr. Buyer) who will lead sourcing activities related to new product development and current products in assigned commodity space in tandem with the Director of Sourcing.You will also independently develop, implement and drive Category/Subcategory as well as Supplier Strategies for non-globally driven categories.Be a part of an organization, with a dynamic leadership team that truly values and appreciates the people that work there. What you will be doing:

·The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships while leveraging deep sourcing expertise.

·Responsibilities include managing $30 to $50 million commodity spend, developing sourcing strategies, and collaborating with key cross-functional teams.

·Lead negotiations and execute master supplier agreements

·Analysis of purchase volumes within category to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, product portfolio/supplier capability efficiency

·Manage quoting and negotiations

·Lead supplier selection process for both Global and Regional strategies on both current product and New Product Development components

·Mentor, coach, and train new Sourcing team members

What they are looking for

·Expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management.

·5+ years’ experience in manufacturing

·Exposure to commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics.

·Working Knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies.

·Strong communication and negation skills

·Understand timeline development and cost structures

·BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

·Open to 20% to 30% travel

·APICS Certification would be a plus
