    The Trade Operations team provides control and oversight for daily trade processing and settlement supporting Schwab mutual fund and exchange traded fund (ETF) products. In this role, you'll help ensure trades and related cash movements are confirmed, transmitted, and settled accurately and on time-protecting the integrity of the investment process and enabling portfolio managers and traders to stay focused on delivering outcomes for clients. You'll investigate and resolve breaks in trades, cash, and positions by applying sound judgment, structured problem-solving, and effective decision-making in a fast-paced operational environment.

    You'll collaborate closely with internal partners and external vendors (brokers, custodians, prime brokers, and fund accountants), using clear communication and relationship-building to influence timely resolution and improve end-to-end workflow. You'll also monitor vendor metrics and broker performance, identify opportunities to streamline processes, support operational projects, and contribute to team strength through mentoring, coaching, and leadership coverage when needed. This role follows a flexible 8-hour schedule within 7:00am-5:00pm CST.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Familiarity with the trade lifecycle and settlement processes for equity and/or fixed income instruments
    • Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve issues in trades, cash, or positions through structured problem-solving and sound decision-making
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity across operational processes and systems
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across internal teams and external partners
    • Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day instruction and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness
    • Ability to work a flexible 8-hour schedule between 7:00am-5:00pm CST

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience in financial operations, trade support, middle office, custody, fund accounting, or broker/dealer operations
    • Experience with trade confirmation, transmission, and settlement activities, including cash movement and wire processing
    • Experience monitoring vendor metrics or broker performance and driving workflow efficiencies or process improvements
    • Experience mentoring or coaching teammates and supporting team leadership responsibilities when needed

    In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
