Position:Senior Software Engineer

Location:Orlando, FL- Hybrid (Mon-Thurs Onsite)

Duration:6 Month Contract to Hire with possible extension or conversion to full-time

Overview:

We are seeking an Engineer with a strong background in Java Development, with agrowing emphasis on Machine Learning (ML) systems and infrastructure. This role will play a key part in supporting and evolving applications as they expand in use, while also contributing to end-to-end ML lifecycle development, including model training, pipeline orchestration, and production infrastructure. As an Engineer on this team, you will help design, build, and maintain both traditional software systems and scalable ML-driven solutions, leveraging modern cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design and development of software fixes, enhancements, and components.
  • Drive development through your own work and that of subordinate engineers.
  • Develop technical solutions aligned with specifications.
  • Execute component-level software projects using existing technologies.
  • Review and write code, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Lead programming, testing, and debugging efforts.
  • Create documentation and tools for installation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to coordinate deliverables.
  • Provide end-to-end troubleshooting expertise.
  • Design and implement machine learning pipelines, including data ingestion, training, validation, and deployment.
  • Support and optimize ML infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS).
  • Partner with data science teams to productionize models and scale ML workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of end-to-end ML lifecycle capabilities, including monitoring, retraining, and performance optimization.
  • Must-Have Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable software systems, including exposure to data-intensive or ML-driven applications
  • 3-5 years of Java Development (Java 17 highly preferred)
  • AWS (including Lambdas and cloud native services)
  • Spring Boot development
  • Microservices architecture
  • Hands-on experience supporting or integrating machine learning workflows or data pipelines
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with ML frameworks or tooling (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, SageMaker, or similar)
  • Familiarity with ML pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions, Kubeflow, etc.)
  • Experience building or supporting ML infrastructure, model deployment, or MLOps practices
  • Database design (DynamoDB, MongoDB, XBMS setup)
  • Basic Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable software systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Emphasis on maintainability, scalability, and defect-free coding.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies, including Git, Jenkins, Maven, Java, Spring, RESTful Web Services, and more.
