Software Engineer to support the Test Engineering team. The Software Engineer will improve test rig software and modernize aged equipment. The scope of modernization includes test rig hardware and software upgrades to enable test automation, gage calibration process improvements, and introduction of industry 4.0 technologies.
Preferred skills and knowledge
- Experience with system integration, automated test systems, and production test equipment.
- Working experience with pneumatic systems and test equipment.
- Experience in aerospace, industrial, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and familiarity with National Instruments hardware (DAQ, cDAQ, PXI, etc.).
- Understanding of data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and signal conditioning.
- Familiarity with Ignition or similar HMI/SCADA environments.
- Experience with SQL databases and working with APIs for data exchange or system integration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a production environment.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize and act on task needs without supervision.
- Fluent in English.
