Title: Senior Software Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA
Target Start Date: ASAP
Type: Contract
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain complex software applications, from architecture through deployment
- Lead project teams: define specs, break work into milestones, and drive projects to completion
- Advise business leadership on software/hardware options, risks, costs, and tradeoffs
- Investigate performance issues, spot tech trends, and recommend/implement solutions
- Gather requirements through user interviews, system evaluation, and (when applicable) vendor selection
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Track progress on larger initiatives, report status, and course-correct as needed
- Mentor engineers and conduct code reviews with constructive, actionable feedback
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology (or related field)
- 10+ years of JavaScript experience
- 7+ years of MongoDB experience
- Strong critical thinking on abstract/ambiguous problems, with ownership of solutions end to end
- Proven track record leading projects from milestone-planning to delivery
- Solid communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with code review, branch management, merge conflict resolution, and full SDLC
- Experience with ElectronJS
