Position Title: Sr Software Engineer, Cloud/On-Prem & Cybersecurity Platform
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Sr. Software Engineer opportunity located Remote in the United States, supporting a next-generation AI, quantum, and advanced computing platform.
Job Description:
- This role supports the next-generation cloud infrastructure behind an AI-native cybersecurity and data observability platform designed to continuously monitor large-scale enterprise environments and detect anomalies, zero-day threats, and previously unknown activity.
- We are seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate the cloud infrastructure supporting our client's cybersecurity platform.
- You will work extensively with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud security, observability, and highly available distributed systems. Scope includes building both customer-facing cybersecurity platform capabilities and internal DevSecOps/infrastructure tooling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design & Operation: Design and operate scalable infrastructure on OCI and On-prem environments.
- Kubernetes Environment Management: Build and manage Kubernetes-based production environments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop infrastructure as code using Pulumi, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- CI/CD & DevSecOps: Build and improve CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
- Cloud Security & Observability: Implement cloud security, networking, monitoring, and observability solutions.
- Platform Reliability: Improve platform reliability, availability, performance, and automate operational deployment processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cybersecurity, AI/ML, software engineering, and product teams.
Job Qualifications:
- Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Strong cloud infrastructure and On-prem engineering experience.
- Containerization: Direct experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Automation & Scripting: Experience with Ansible, Python, Rust, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- DevOps & CI/CD: Proven background in CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
- Linux & Security: Systems-level experience with Linux, networking, and cloud security.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) or other major cloud platforms.
- Domain Experience: Prior cybersecurity platform experience.
- High-Performance Computing: Exposure to high-performance or distributed computing architectures.
- Data & Observability: Experience with high-volume data platforms, observability, and telemetry systems.
- Enterprise & Government Environments: Experience supporting enterprise or government environments.
- High-Growth Settings: Experience working in high-growth, transformation, or private equity-backed environments.
