Description
We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, secure, and upgrade-safe enterprise ServiceNow applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with App Engine Studio, scoped applications, UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, server-side scripting, and REST API integrations. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, maintaining platform standards, optimizing performance, and providing technical guidance and mentorship to other developers.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and custom enhancements using App Engine Studio, scoped applications, and platform APIs.
- Develop role-based user experiences using UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
- Implement and maintain REST integrations, Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub workflows, and JSON-based data exchanges.
- Develop server-side logic using Script Includes, Business Rules, GlideRecord, and Flow Designer.
- Apply ACLs, role-based access controls, naming conventions, and platform governance standards.
- Collaborate with product owners and technical teams on requirements, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and change reviews.
- Review code, mentor developers, troubleshoot production issues, and support platform upgrades and release governance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience in enterprise environments preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with App Engine Studio, scoped applications, and platform APIs.
- Strong knowledge of UI Builder, Configurable Workspace, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
- Hands-on experience with Scripted REST APIs, IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, GlideRecord, and server-side scripting.
- Understanding of ACLs, platform security, upgrade-safe development, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, conducting code reviews, and mentoring developers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- ServiceNow CSA, CAD, or ITIL 4 Foundation certification preferred.
