    Position Summary:

    TheSr.SalesAccount Manager will work closely with customers (OEM's,Tier 1's, etc.) and internal teams to support commercial activity related toxEV(Hybrid/Electricvehicles)products. Role responsibilities include acting as a main point of contact for customers, ensuringtimelyresponse to customer inquiries,leading salesquotesand commercial strategy,identifyinggrowthopportunities, and working closely with internal teams to manageallcommercial activity related to assigned products.

    The ideal candidate should behighlyself-motivated and open to learningautomotiverelatedproduct specifications and manufacturing processes to communicate confidently with knowledgeable customers. Must additionally have technical prowess to recognize new product opportunities that will grow Astemo future product target areas of business.

    Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing,Accounting, Economics,Engineeringor related field.

    • 5-10years' experience in: sales,program management, accounting, administration,engineering, or business development

    Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

    • Experienceasprimarycustomer interfaceto automotive OEMs (GM/Fordpreferred), includingworking within customer portals.

    • Demonstratedsuccess in developingstrategicapproachto resolving difficultcommercial issues.

    Position Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Interface with OEM/Tier1 engineering,purchasing, and cost analysis teams.

    • Coordinate and complete customer quotations.

    • Support customer visits to manufacturing sites and sales offices globally.

    • Build andmaintainstrong customer relationships.

    • Negotiate pricing terms and agreements with OEM customers.

    • Analyze costs and pricing for customer applications withstrongstrategy plan to execute results.

    • Develop and support plans for increased product profitability.

    • Receive, verify, and manage customer purchase orders.

    • Maintain the sales budget for respective products of responsibility.

    • Support customer cost breakdown activities.

    • Track and update customer contracts.

    • Maintain and control department expenses associated with customer accounts.

    • Support commercial aspects of product development and design changes.

    • Understandcustomer'sexpectations and engage with key team members fortimelysupport.

    • Understandcustomer'sorganization, program milestones, and key deliverables.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Experience working with Customers preferred.

    • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

    • Well organized, inquisitive, and independent.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail.

    • Abilityto work independently with minimal direction is.

    • Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

    • Availability for travel, including international.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: 

    • Does not supervise.

    • Required to sit or stand forlong periodsof time. 

    • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Work Environment – Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.

    • Domestic and international travel.

    • Factory setting with noise

    Software:

    • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications (Excel,PowerPoint, Word)
