Title: Sr. Safety Engineer
Duration: 6 months with conversion to FTE
Location: Welcome, NC
Pay Range: $62.00 - $70.00 per hour / $100k - $115k Annually

Job Description
Direct Placement or contract to hire are options. They will want a permanent employee and depending on the interview, they may hire direct or choose contract to hire if they want to see ability first.

Candidate will help drive the culture that every incident is avoidable and that being proactive in detecting and eliminating risk is everyone's responsibility. Develops and publishes safety and environmental programs consistent with regulations and company policy. o Develops and conducts training for associates, managers, supervisors, other employees, visitors and contractors in the areas of general safety and environmental awareness, specific program requirements and specific job requirements. o Perform job hazard and Ergonomic analysis to identify loss potential of our systems and processes. o Review and interpret loss data to Client causative agents and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Review and revise location standards, policies and practices as necessary to assure they are current and in concert with company and / or regulatory requirements under OSHA, EPA, DOT.
Assists with maintenance of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 program requirements and certification o Assists with accident investigations to ascertain causes in order to develop preventive safety measures and programs
Review and evaluate technical developments to measure applicability to our processes. Maintains required records, prepares reports and files as necessary to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
Audit implementation by effected personnel.

Must Have
  • 4-year college degree preferably with a focus on Safety, Health and Environment.
  • 5+ years of practical experience in Safety and Environmental in a manufacturing environment.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with ability to present to others 4. Self-motivated, confident professional that wants to join a team environment in a company that pursuits a strong safety and sustainable development culture.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
