Senior Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior RPA Engineer with extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise automation solutions. This role focuses on identifying automation opportunities, building scalable RPA solutions, improving operational efficiency, and supporting business transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills with business process analysis expertise and experience delivering automation in complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Solution Design
- Analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Conduct process assessments, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis.
- Design scalable and maintainable RPA solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to document requirements and automation workflows.
- Recommend automation best practices and governance standards.
Development & Implementation- Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA solutions using tools such as:
- UiPath
- Automation Anywhere
- Microsoft Power Automate
- Blue Prism
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and automation assets.
- Integrate automations with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, ERP, CRM, and cloud platforms.
- Implement exception handling, logging, security controls, and monitoring capabilities.
- Create technical documentation and deployment procedures.
Operations & Support- Monitor automation performance and production stability.
- Analyze and resolve incidents, defects, and process failures.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support platform upgrades, migrations, and automation enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.
Leadership & Mentoring- Provide technical leadership to RPA developers and project teams.
- Conduct code reviews and establish development standards.
- Mentor junior developers and promote automation best practices.
- Participate in automation governance boards and architecture reviews.
- Collaborate with business and IT leadership to prioritize automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on RPA development experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of:
- Process automation methodologies
- Workflow design
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Agile delivery practices
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and application integration.
- Proficiency in one or more languages:
