Responsible for validating application frontend and backend systems, as well as testing complex ETL data pipelines built on GCP. Need to ensure high system performance, data integrity, and seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Data & ETL Pipeline Testing (GCP)
  • Design and execute test plans for data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes.
  • Validate ETL workflows in the GCP ecosystem (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer).
  • Perform source-to-target data reconciliation, verifying transformation logic and data integrity using complex SQL queries.
  • Validate automated data quality checks to monitor schema changes, duplicate rows, and null values in the data pipeline.
Application (Frontend & Backend) Testing
  • Perform end-to-end testing of a web application frontends across various browsers and devices.
  • Test backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), microservices, and serverless functions to ensure accurate data processing and secure communication.
General QA Excellence
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Software Developers to define clear acceptance criteria.
  • Identify, log, and track defects using tracking software.
  • Execute regression, functional, and performance testing to certify stable product releases.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software QA, with a strong mix of data pipeline and application testing.
  • Data Skills: Deep proficiency in SQL; hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data stack (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.).
  • Mindset: Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced Agile environments.
  • Rate: $78/hr.
