Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Arrangement: Remote

Contract Duration: 1-year, with opportunity for extension, W2

Pay: $80/hr

(California or neighboring state residents only)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives and oversee the successful delivery of enterprise-level IT projects. This individual will manage project teams, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing software development projects, strong leadership skills, and expertise in Agile methodologies, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps, and cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex IT projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and align project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and other project resources.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, release plans, and other project documentation.
  • Facilitate project meetings, executive presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Implement quality assurance, change management, and risk mitigation processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, business analyses, and cost-benefit assessments when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security requirements, and project management best practices.
  • Support training, documentation, and transition activities for project deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive IT project management experience.
  • Minimum 4 years leading large-scale or highly complex IT projects.
  • Experience managing software development initiatives.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps in project delivery environments.
  • Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
  • Experience using Lucidchart or similar process-mapping tools.
