Ohio Machinery Co. is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead both people and portfolios—someone who combines a strong process-improvement discipline with the ability to drive execution across complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
 
This role is a fit for a project leader who enjoys developing others, shaping priorities with senior leaders, and ensuring high‑impact work gets done well.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and develop a team of Project Managers, including coaching, goal setting, performance management, and hiring
  • Own a portfolio of enterprise projects delivering measurable operational, financial, and customer outcomes
  • Partner with leaders to define priorities, establish charters, and sequence work across the organization
  • Provide clear visibility into project pipelines, risks, dependencies, and timelines
  • Step in as a leader on complex or at‑risk projects when needed
  • Drive consistency in project and portfolio management practices, tools, and reporting
  • Champion a continuous improvement, value‑driven, and Agile mindset across teams
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven leader of both projects and people, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
  • Strong background in process improvement and cross‑functional project delivery
  • Comfort influencing senior leaders and teams without direct authority
  • Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to balance strategy, people leadership, and execution in a fast‑paced environment
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or related field (required)
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in project management, program management, or operations leadership
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience (required)
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level, cross-functional programs with significant business impact
  • Advanced experience in continuous improvement methodologies
  • PMP or equivalent certification required
  • Proven experience managing project portfolios
  • Strong financial acumen, including business case development and benefit realization tracking
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline)
  • Experience operating in multi-site, enterprise, or highly matrixed environments
  • Background leading large-scale transformation initiatives or strategic programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean, Agile, and portfolio management frameworks
  • Experience with executive-level reporting and governance structures
  • Track record of building or scaling project management or continuous improvement functions
  • Experience managing budgets, capital projects, or P&L-impacting initiatives
