Sr. Project Manager
Summary
TriCom is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead a large-scale CMMC certification initiative for a manufacturing organization supporting the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role will drive execution across 15-20 workstreams, coordinate internal and external teams, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure readiness for a December 2026 C3PAO assessment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the CMMC certification program.
- Manage project plans, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal teams and external consulting partners.
- Drive accountability across technical and business workstreams.
- Facilitate executive reporting and governance meetings.
- Support assessment readiness, evidence collection, and audit preparation.
- Ensure adoption of new compliance processes and controls across the organization.
- Partner with technology teams to manage infrastructure, security, and application-related initiatives.
Requirements
- PMP certification.
- 15+ years of project/program management experience.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives with 50+ stakeholders.
- Background managing compliance or certification programs (CMMC, NIST 800-171, ISO 27001, SOC 2, FedRAMP, HITRUST, ITAR).
- Strong vendor and consulting partner management experience.
- Expertise in risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, security, Cloud, and enterprise applications.
- Executive-level communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to drive accountability and lead through ambiguity.
Preferred
- Direct CMMC Level-2 or NIST 800-171 experience.
- PgMP certification.
This is a 6-month Contract opportunity with potential for extension with our MN client.
