We are seeking a Sr Project Manager for metro Detroit area (hybrid 1x/wk.). Must have experience with Health Plans.
Job Description: Accountable for and manages the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of long-term project(s) typically spanning two years or more from planning to implementation, with complex scope and deliverables that may impact multiple business unit/function or business critical program. Project scope spans across the enterprise, impacting one or more of the following: process, system, function, product and/or service.
Required Skills/Experience/Education:
- 3+ years Health industry background
- 5+ years Project management (with Business & IT scope)
- 5+ years Waterfall and Agile delivery
- 5+ years Led x-functional complex projects - internal/external stakeholders, IT, 3rd party vendors, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite - MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams
- Bachelor's degree in - Business Management, IT or any health-related field
Preferred Skills/Experience/Education
- Understand IT SDLC (software development life cycle)
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with data feed integrations including 3rd party vendors
- Certifications - PMP (preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
- Support/facilitate Business Case, Business Requirement documentation
- Facilitate project business decision making
- Develop complete end to end project plan which includes business implementation, readiness and technical milestones
- Compile status reports reflecting all aspects of project execution including business implementation, readiness and technical inputs. Present status to executive leadership
- Work with all project stakeholders to resolve project issues or mitigate risks
- Facilitates the development of User Acceptance Testing scenarios and business approvals
- Facilitates defect tracking and resolution in coordination with IT
- Provide consolidated (business and IT) project status reporting, verbally and in writing
- Ensure proper transition of ongoing business activities prior to project closure
