    Description

Do you want to build the training, community, and events that help Amazon teams succeed with Salesforce? Do you want to work alongside program managers and security engineers who share ownership of what they ship? Do you want to use AI to invent and simplify?

Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) delivers products and programs that improve the return on investment in Amazon"s enterprise-wide Salesforce deployments. We are adding a Senior Program Manager to the team that runs training, community, and events for Amazon"s Salesforce builders. You will own defined workstreams, share others with experienced teammates, and work with the Salesforce account team on shared plans.

Your work spans four enablement programs and you will own significant enterprise wide programs. You will help deliver the security and operations course for Amazon"s Salesforce org owners and grow the builder community. Each year, the team also leads Amazon"s presence at Dreamforce and TDX and runs SalesforceCon, Amazon"s annual internal conference for Salesforce builders. You will own workstreams in each event. Across these programs, you will set goals for the work you own, contribute to narratives for directors and vice presidents, and build AI automation that teammates reuse.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own defined workstreams across SFSC"s training, community, and enablement programs, and set the goals and metrics for the work you own
    • Work with SFSC technical program managers to deliver the security and operations training program, including content updates, assessments, user acceptance testing, and compliance reporting
    • Help grow the Salesforce builder community through monthly calls, an active Slack channel, and shared targets for active users, response rate, and satisfaction
    • Coordinate parts of Amazon"s builder presence at Dreamforce and TDX, from registration and speaker submissions to follow-up sessions on the top announcements
    • Lead workstreams within SalesforceCon, such as agenda, speakers, workshops, venue, or post-event surveys
    • Work with the Salesforce account team on shared program plans, including onboarding for Salesforce staff who work on Amazon programs
    • Turn builder feedback into input for SFSC"s product roadmap
    • Build AI automation for content updates, dashboards, and reporting, and share it across the team
    • Contribute to program strategy and the narratives that go to directors and vice presidents
    • Identify risks early, escalate them with a plan, and remove process steps that no longer add value
    • Mentor program managers and technical program managers, and take part in hiring for SFSC

    A day in the life

Your work follows a program calendar you share with the team. You collaborate with team of program manager and own enterprise progreams. When training content falls out of date, you and SFSC security engineers update it and test it before org owners see it. Between events, you help plan and run the community call and Slack channels that keep Amazon builders current on Salesforce changes In the months before SalesforceCon, you help build the event plan with SFSC teammates and the Salesforce account team. You own parts of the agenda, speakers, workshops, and venue. Throughout the year, you work side by side with other program managers, Salesforce and service owners across the Amazon business.

    About the team

Salesforce Success Central sits at the intersection of security, SaaS platform engineering, and enterprise operations. The team is small, so your work ships fast and has visible impact across the organization. You will build expertise in running enterprise third-party platforms at a scale that few companies operate, and you will partner with hundreds of teams across Amazon who rely on your enablement programs. We seek out and celebrate a diversity of ideas, perspectives, and technical backgrounds.

Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
