Lead product safety assessments and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements. Identify potential safety risks and partner with engineering teams to incorporate effective mitigation strategies into product designs. Manage global compliance activities, certifications, audits, and relationships with testing laboratories and certification organizations. Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments, FMEAs, and root cause investigations to address safety and compliance concerns. Develop testing protocols, review validation results, and recommend design improvements to enhance product safety and compliance performance. Serve as a technical advisor during design reviews, ensuring safety and environmental requirements are integrated early in development. Prepare, maintain, and present compliance documentation, certification records, and regulatory submissions. Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance related to safety engineering, compliance standards, and best practices. Monitor evolving international regulations and proactively implement compliance strategies to minimize risk and maintain certifications.

The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, or a related Engineering discipline. They should have 5 to 8+ years of experience in product safety engineering, compliance engineering, or a related technical field within a regulated industry. Strong knowledge of global safety and compliance standards, including SEMI, NFPA, IEC, UL, CE, ISO, RoHS, and related regulations is required. Experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, FMEAs, and safety-related root cause investigations is necessary. Functional Safety experience evaluating PLC-based safety systems is required. Experience conducting SISTEMA evaluations and working with radiation-emitting equipment is highly desirable. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams are required. Professional certifications such as CSP, CPSE, or CCP are preferred. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
