    Description

    About the Role

Amazon"s Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) org builds systems to plan, procure, place and maintain optimal inventory within Amazon"s network. Within SCOT, SCOT Connect team owns building a central AI infrastructure and data foundation that powers 10+ supply chain/CX metrics. SCOT Connect team is looking for a visionary Sr Product Manager - Tech to lead the next generation of AI-driven supply chain intelligence. SCOT Connect is the connective tissue of Amazon"s Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) organization - the single interface where AI agents, data, and metrics come together to explain how Amazon"s supply chain performs and where to act. Our charter: make SCOT"s capabilities discoverable, its data trustworthy, and its insights actionable for humans and AI agents alike.

This role sits at the intersection of AI product development, large-scale data infrastructure, and supply chain measurement. You will own data and AI products that are reviewed at the Board of Directors and Stores leadership level that deliver insights for Amazon"s supply chain organization. Your work directly impacts strategic decisions as your products identify anomalous trends, parse out defects in systems/processes across every step of planning and execution and eventually, ensure that Amazon is able to delight its customers with great CX by bringing inventory available close to customers. You own building the data foundation that makes it all possible and AI/Analytics applications that scale.

    What Makes This Role Unique

You will work across SCOT organization to define the data backbone of Amazon"s supply chain. You will define the strategy for what data enters this foundation, how it is structured for AI consumption, and how teams across Amazon consume it.

You will ship AI products at production scale. Your portfolio includes building AI tools- MCPs, Knowledge Bases, Skills and Agentic frameworks - that reshape how traditional analytics products worked.

You will own metrics that Amazon"s leadership uses to run the business. The team already owns 10+ metrics across three critical supply chain domains, and has plans to expand into other metrics to standardize within a centralized WW framework. These metrics are reviewed at Board, S-Team, QBR, and WBR cadences and are the primary lens through which Amazon evaluates supply chain health.

    # What You Will Do

    • Define and execute the product vision for SCOT level Data Foundation - drive a multi-year initiative to build canonical, AI-ready supply chain datasets that eliminate fragmented data pipelines and enable any SCOT team to get standardized insights without writing complex SQL across dozens of tables. Build the capability to quickly integrate new datasets and adapt to changes in Supply Chain systems
    • Drive the AI product roadmap - from metric deep-divers, AI-generated callouts to agentic workflows that move from insight to automated action
    • Own the federated metric architecture - lead the technical product strategy for how partner teams contribute marketplace-specific customizations to metric attribution models via an AI-enabled bridging framework, reducing development time from weeks to days
    • Scale AI-powered tools across Amazon"s supply chain - Extend MCP coverage for metrics, build domain-specific AI agents, and launch Skills packages that automate deep dives and insight generation
    • Communicate with senior leaders - prepare strategic documents for VP/SVP audiences; align roadmaps with SCOT"s strategic objectives and drive cross-organizational alignment across Retail, Operations, and functional SCOT teams

    #What You Will Build With

You will work with a team of software engineers, data engineers, applied scientists, and BIEs. Your tech stack spans agentic AI infrastructure (MCP servers, AI Skills, knowledge bases), large-scale data pipelines (Spark/Cradle, Andes, Redshift), federated metric compute engines, and AI evaluation frameworks.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Work with internal customers to understand their use cases and their existing solutions. Drive requirements definition, UI design, feature development priority, and product adoption/effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with your engineering and business teams to drive the product roadmaps.
    • Define product strategy and vision, and own the product roadmap and related literature.
    • Address bottlenecks, identify inefficiencies, anticipate and make tradeoffs; balance the business and customers' needs versus technical constraints.
    • Own production of business metrics for Availability data-products- detecting anomalies, deep long-term trends and insight generation.
    • Lead technical product development for new strategic initiatives.
    • Own Business Requirement Documents, User Stories, Use Cases, and Product Strategy documents.
    • Evaluate technical solutions with alternatives and decompose significantly complex problems into concise and effective technical propositions.
    • Partner with multiple tech and product teams across multiple locations with varying sets of priorities to ensure a timely delivery of the solution.

Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
