You will be the product manager for Contract Central, Amazon Legal"s contract lifecycle management platform. It holds about 3.5 million contracts, about 20,000 to 25,000 more are signed through it each month, and it has nearly 60,000 users. Hundreds of internal teams connect to it through APIs.
Most business users open it only a few times a year, so it has to make sense without training or a call to Legal. The team also leads a 2026 S-Team goal and works closely with the Amazon Quick organization on bringing AI into contracting.
Where the platform goes next is not fully defined. You will set the goals and lead the work, asking for direction when you need it. You should be comfortable with SQL, with how APIs work, and with detailed technical conversations with engineers.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
It is release day for Contract Central. You send the release note and hold office hours. Then you sit with an admin setting up a new contract workflow and note each decision that slows them down. After lunch you write the SQL for the monthly business review yourself, because every number needs a denominator and a trend. The Amazon Quick team asks for an API change, and you work out with an engineer whether it is worth doing now. You end the day in a recorded session with a business user who uses the platform a few times a year.
About the team
We are the Legal Technology team in Amazon Legal. We build the software Amazon"s lawyers and business teams use to create, approve, sign and manage contracts. The team is small for what it owns, so the role is broad. You will work with a dedicated engineering team, design, business intelligence and legal leads, and you will write your own queries, release notes and user surveys. Over the next year we are focused on recovering user satisfaction, making contracting easier for occasional users and admins, and keeping Contract Central reliable as more teams and AI tools build on it.
