Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Design Engineer to join our team for an 8-month assignment. This role requires a U.S. citizen to work on critical projects within our Wheel & Braking Systems Engineering department, focusing on supply chain initiatives and engineering execution tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in product design engineering or a related area.
- Experience with project management, including scope, schedule, and cost/resources management.
- Proven attention to detail in reviewing engineering documentation.
- Experience with engineering substantiation and validation of engineering changes.
- Experience in the aerospace industry, adhering to regulations and procedures.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience in supply chain initiatives related to transitions, repositions, and dual-sourcing activities.
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design new products and improve existing ones, ensuring cost efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering staff to ensure timely completion of production.
- Execute tasks associated with the substantiation and validation of new or relocated sources of supply for the business.
