Sr. Process Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
Seeking a Sr. Process Engineer with 5+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience and hands-on expertise in laser welding, resistance welding, micro joining, battery/capacitor manufacturing, or similar thermal joining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, qualify, and scale welding/joining processes for medical devices.
Lead DMAIC, RCA, 5 Whys, DOE, process capability, and continuous improvement projects.
Develop process documentation, validation protocols/reports, control plans, and ECOs.
Support equipment selection, installation, qualification, and production transfer.
Analyze welding parameters and improve yield, throughput, and process capability.
Support NCR/CAPA investigations and root-cause corrective actions.
Partner with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and equipment vendors.
Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
5+ years relevant manufacturing/process/advanced manufacturing engineering experience.
Hands-on welding/joining or thermal joining experience.
Strong structured problem-solving and engineering data analysis skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings/specifications and work in a regulated environment.
Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
Laser systems, automated welding cells, robotics, vision systems.
DOE, Minitab, SPC, DFM, Lean/Six Sigma.
Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QSR/GMP.
New Product Introduction (NPI) and process transfer experience.
