Sr Power Electronics Engineer

Strong PCB layout skills with ORCAD plus experience creating mixed signal and high current designs for production . Complete schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, DFM, prototype, compliance and safety qualification, and production release.

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or other technical related field
• A minimum of 7 years of experience with Orcad PCB Design
• Experience in specifying DC to DC converters, Buck, Boost, and Linear
• Experience with motors and motor controllers
• Strong PCB layout skills with ORCAD plus experience creating mixed signal and high current designs for production
• Experience with Ethercat, Ethernet, and CAN Bus interfaces, tools, and analyzers desirable
• Experience with Verilog and FPGA design/verification a plus
• Experience with Python for scripting a plus
• Experience in product design and testing for CE compliance desirable

Responsibilities:

• System-level design of electronic controls for robotics
• Board-level design of complex digital, power, and mixed signal PCA's
• Complete schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, DFM, prototype, compliance and safety qualification, and production release
• Fosters a highly collaborative and egalitarian environment
• Team up with embedded software developers to implement robotic tools and applications
• Solve complex system and board level electronic issues using multidisciplinary skills
• Support legacy designs (updates, feature additions, field-failure resolution)
• Due to the nature of the position, our engineers are required to be physically present at our facilities in Pleasanton, California
