    Job Summary

    The Senior Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing the organization's portfolio of strategic initiatives and enterprise projects from approval through implementation. This role provides governance, prioritization, resource alignment, and execution oversight for initiatives that support the company's strategic objectives.

    Working closely with executive leadership and business unit leaders, this position ensures approved initiatives are appropriately prioritized, resourced, executed, and transitioned into operational ownership. The Senior Portfolio Manager serves as the central point of coordination for the strategic portfolio, providing visibility into initiative performance, risks, dependencies, and organizational capacity. They escalate roadblocks to necessary leadership.

    Responsibilities

    Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

    Location: Palmyra, WI (Hybrid)

    Essential Functions

    Portfolio Governance & Prioritization

    • Maintain and administer the enterprise portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects.

    • Facilitate portfolio intake, prioritization, and governance processes.

    • Develop and maintain portfolio management frameworks, tools, and reporting structures; as well as work with Sr. Business Development Manager to develop business development evaluation process and monitor status of those initiatives

    • Evaluate portfolio capacity and recommend prioritization decisions based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and organizational impact.

    • Support annual and quarterly strategic planning processes through portfolio analysis and prioritization recommendations.

    Strategic Initiative Oversight

    • Provide oversight of approved strategic initiatives from project initiation through implementation.

    • Partner with initiative sponsors and project leaders to establish scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.

    • Monitor initiative progress, risks, dependencies, and resource needs.

    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.

    • Escalate critical risks and barriers to executive leadership as appropriate.

    Resource & Capacity Management

    • Partner with functional leaders to understand resource capacity and allocation across strategic initiatives.

    • Identify conflicts, bottlenecks, and competing priorities.

    • Recommend resource allocation strategies to maximize portfolio performance.

    • Support executive decision-making regarding project sequencing and investment priorities.

    • Lead a team of project managers

    Executive Reporting & Portfolio Analytics

    • Develop executive-level portfolio dashboards and performance reporting.

    • Track portfolio health, initiative status, milestones, and strategic outcomes.

    • Analyze portfolio performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

    • Prepare materials and presentations for executive leadership meetings and governance reviews.

    • Monitor strategic initiatives against approved business objectives and success measures.

    • Support transition planning from project teams into operational ownership.

    • Coordinate with business leaders to ensure accountability for long-term initiative outcomes.

    • Track and report realized business benefits and performance against expectations.

    • Help transition of business development activities from Sr. Business Development manager to operational project teams following executive alignment

    Qualifications:

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.

    • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, strategic planning, business operations, management consulting, or related disciplines.

    • Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives.

    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

    • Experience developing executive-level reporting and presentations.

    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

    Preferred

    • MBA or advanced degree.

    • PMP, PfMP, PgMP, or related certification.

    • Experience supporting executive leadership teams.

    • Experience within healthcare, consumer health, dietary supplements, wellness, or consumer packaged goods industries.
