At AWS, we"re seeking a Sr. Product Marketing leader for State & Local Gov and Global Education who can shape the future of cloud and AI adoption across these institutions globally.

    As the world"s leading cloud and AI provider with 200+ services, AWS needs strategic thinkers who can connect the dots across our vast portfolio. In this role, you"ll work backwards from customer needs to influence go-to-market, product strategy, and messaging across state and local governments, government technology partners, global education institutions (e.g., K-12, Higher Education, Academic Research), and education technology providers.

    We"re looking for a unique blend of public sector expert, technologist, and marketer - someone who can dive deep into the technical needs of education and government institutions while crafting value propositions that resonate with customers.

    You"ll deliver a deep understanding of the market landscape, partner with product teams to understand customer priorities and use cases, shape our product portfolio and GTM motions, drive positioning and messaging, and generate perception and awareness about AWS leadership among state & local and education customers.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Create and drive messaging for the AWS worldwide SLG/EDU business, including our value proposition, customer promises, and reasons to believe that we"ll highlight across GTM and marketing activities
    • Shape our GTM strategy for SLG/EDU, partnering with sales, GTM, and product management teams to develop ideal customer profiles, priority use cases, and differentiators for products focused on state/local governments and education; defining best practice architecture and services for each use case
    • Analyze and synthesize market data from multiple sources (including direct customer feedback) to shape portfolio strategy for AWS offerings, identify new product opportunities, and accelerate adoption of existing AWS offerings
    • Lead product launch plan and execution for new offerings focused on government and education, including naming, target audience definition, and marketing vehicles
    • Develop technical content including customer stories, keynotes, presentations, demonstrations, and reference architectures that educate public sector customers on AWS offerings
    • Represent AWS as a technical evangelist in executive briefings, industry events, and analyst interactions
    • Drive field enablement strategies to support product launches, campaigns, and customer success
