Our client is a well-established general contractor and construction management firm serving the Washington, DC region. The company specializes in complex commercial, institutional, residential, renovation, adaptive reuse, and ground-up construction projects, with approximately 70 employees and a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and client service. The Senior Project Manager will play a key leadership role in delivering high-profile projects while partnering closely with executive leadership and project teams. This Senior Project Manager position offers the opportunity to take ownership of major projects within a supportive, team-oriented environment where professional growth is encouraged.
Oversee ground-up K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and overall project execution. Lead client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with field teams, consultants, design professionals, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery. Identify risks proactively and implement solutions before issues impact project performance. Maintain accountability for project profitability, quality, safety, and schedule adherence. Drive project teams toward achieving key milestones and client expectations. Mentor and support project staff while fostering a collaborative team environment. As a Senior Project Manager, provide leadership and strategic direction across all phases of construction. Work closely with company leadership to achieve successful project outcomes and strengthen client partnerships. Support process improvements and best practices that contribute to organizational success. Take ownership of complex projects while leveraging leadership support when needed as a Senior Project Manager.

Highly preferred experience managing ground-up K-12 construction projects. Multifamily construction experience is also highly valued and considered transferable. Demonstrated success managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish. Strong leadership, team development, and communication skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project financial performance. Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership. Comfortable making decisions and working independently. Highly proactive with the ability to identify and solve problems early.
