Sr. PKI Engineer (100% Remote) - Enterprise Security

Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain enterprise PKI and certificate management services for high-availability, large-scale environments
- Support certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and recovery processes with a focus on automation and efficiency
- Implement and automate governance processes and controls to streamline certificate management for software development teams
- Coordinate all Certificate Authority (CA) lifecycle activities, including renewals, migrations, and key ceremonies
- Develop, document, and maintain certificate policies, standards, and operating procedures
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex certificate chain, extension, and architecture issues
- Configure integrations and deploy automation platforms, optimizing certificate operations across cloud and on-prem environments
- Collaborate virtually with development and operations teams globally to promote security best practices
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security, operating and building PKI and CLM platforms
- Hands-on expertise with Venafi and CyberArk for certificate management
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and integration
- Proficiency in Certificate Lifecycle Management with proven track record in large enterprise settings
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, with server administration and command-line troubleshooting experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote, global team
Preferred Skills
- Experience leading PKI migration projects and deploying new PKI systems
- Background implementing security automation platforms and pre-built integrations
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for secure software delivery
