Sr Payroll Union Analyst 
New York, NY
Pay: $70.00 - $77.00 per hour 

Job Summary
The Sr Payroll Union Analyst is responsible for managing complex, high-volume union payroll activities, including union dues, employer contributions, reconciliations, and reporting. This role supports accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple unions, maintains payroll configuration within an ERP system, and partners closely with Payroll, Accounting, IT, Labor Relations, and Operations teams. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytically strong, and able to quickly learn and navigate new systems in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
  • Process weekly and monthly union dues and union employer contribution payments for multiple unions with strict deadlines
  • Partner with the centralized Procure-to-Pay (PTP) group to confirm all union-related payments are completed accurately and on time
  • Reconcile payment requests to weekly and monthly payment reports and payroll outputs
  • Provide unions with required supporting documentation on a scheduled weekly and monthly basis
  • Review and maintain employee union dues withholdings, 401(k), and flexible spending elections based on union and operations team inputs
  • Maintain payroll setup within the ERP system for multiple union dues and employer contribution tables, including testing and validation
  • Support data verification and troubleshoot payroll earnings, union dues, and employer contribution discrepancies
  • Collaborate with Labor Relations and Operations teams to resolve employee and union inquiries
  • Research and complete external union, pension, health plan, and 401(k) audit and data requests
  • Manage weekly union plan interface files and coordinate corrections with technical support teams
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc payroll and accounting reports for internal stakeholders
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of union payroll balance sheet accounts
  • Manage and compile annual union audit data for pension, health, and retirement plan contributions
  • Process manual adjustments for union-related deductions and withholdings as needed
  • Support special projects related to payroll, systems, or union reporting
Job Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
  • Strong experience using data access software and reporting or query tools
  • Experience with SAP EC Payroll or another large-scale ERP payroll system
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting payroll processing results and general ledger costing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, compensation rules, and union-related payroll requirements
  • High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems and processes
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Comfort working in virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and Teams
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll data
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
Work Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience working with high-volume union payroll data
  • Experience supporting payroll system configuration and implementation preferred
  • Prior exposure to entertainment or media-related unions is a plus
