Description
A leading trading firm is seeking a Network Engineer to design, support, and optimize a global, low-latency infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, support, and enhance a global network infrastructure built for low-latency and high-throughput applications
Troubleshoot complex performance issues including latency, jitter, packet loss, and micro-bursting across hybrid network environments
Drive automation and DevOps-style practices to improve network provisioning, monitoring, and operational efficiency
Lead network projects end-to-end, including architecture, deployment, optimization, and documentation
Requirements:
5+ years of network engineering experience within large-scale, performance-sensitive environments
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, including deep understanding of routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, and multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM)
Hands-on experience with network performance analysis, packet capture (e.g., tcpdump/Wireshark), and troubleshooting complex traffic patterns
Experience with Python or similar scripting languages, along with exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible) and API-driven tooling (REST/JSON)
Familiarity with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Arista, or similar) and strong Linux command line experience
Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, InfluxDB) and network telemetry concepts
Experience supporting low-latency or trading environments is a strong plus
