The Maru Program is looking for a Senior Network Administrator who thrives in fast-paced Agile environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about delivering resilient, secure, and high-performing network solutions.
In this role, you'll work alongside talented engineers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, and software developers to modernize enterprise infrastructure, implement emerging technologies, and ensure mission systems remain secure, available, and ready for whatever comes next.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Network Administrator, you'll serve as a technical leader responsible for the administration, optimization, and security of enterprise network infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations.
Please note Gaithersburg, MD is the program's primary work location.
Clearance Level Required:
Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.
Primary Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
US citizenship is required per contract.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
8+ years of network administration experience.
DoD 8140/8570 Compliance: Must possess an active CompTIA Security+ (or higher baseline certification) to satisfy IAM Level I / IAT Level II requirements.
Cisco Networking: Must possess an active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise certification.
Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical network environments.
Strong expertise with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
Thorough understanding of:
TCP/IP
OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
VLANs
DNS/DHCP
VPN technologies
NAT
QoS
Multicast
Experience administering enterprise firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical disciplines.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
