Sr Mobile Developer - Flutter
About the Role
Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Flutter Developer to join our client's innovative mobile team in Orlando, FL (hybrid onsite 2 days/week). As a key contributor, you'll architect and deliver modern, high-performance mobile solutions that elevate the guest journey within a dynamic, Agile environment. Collaborate with product, design, QA, and backend teams to launch impactful features across a global technology ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust mobile applications using Flutter (Dart) for scalability and superior user experience
- Translate business goals into technical solutions in partnership with product managers, designers, and analysts
- Integrate with RESTful APIs and ensure reliable data flow across backend systems
- Drive code quality through regular code reviews, architectural discussions, and performance optimization
- Troubleshoot defects, resolve production issues, and actively contribute to release management and CI/CD improvements
- Collaborate across distributed teams to deliver high-impact features in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Research and pilot emerging technologies to enhance development processes and product capabilities
Required Skills and Experience
- 6+ years of mobile development experience with proven delivery of complex applications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Flutter (Dart) experience in production environments
- Proficiency in integrating APIs, working with SQL, and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Understanding of networking protocols and concepts (HTTP, Bluetooth, RFID, sockets)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and backend technologies (TypeScript, NestJS, Node.js)
- Willingness and ability to work hybrid in Orlando; relocation candidates welcome
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
- Background in distributed systems and modern data handling approaches
