Expected salary range of $189,900 to $211,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Responsibilities:

Primary Purpose of Position

Responsible for providing focused leadership, guidance, and oversight for recovery activities within an assigned department. This position supports the development and execution of department-level recovery strategies, reinforces accountability for standards and behaviors, and partners with department leadership to drive sustainable improvements in nuclear safety, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The Sr Manager, Department Recovery, is accountable for ensuring the assigned department effectively executes recovery actions and receives the support needed to sustain long-term performance improvements, nuclear safety, reliability, and organizational health.


Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management, including but not limited to support of station initiatives, recovery activities, and special assignments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the assigned department leadership to support recovery from performance decline and ensure sustainable improvements in nuclear safety, operational performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational effectiveness within the department.
  • Evaluate department performance, leadership behaviors, cultural indicators, and organizational effectiveness to identify performance gaps, negative trends, emerging risks, and weaknesses impacting safe and reliable department execution.
  • Support alignment on accountability, ownership, and adherence to standards within the assigned department by reinforcing leadership expectations, coaching department managers and supervisors, and escalating barriers requiring broader site alignment.
  • Lead or support development, implementation, and tracking of department recovery action plans to close performance gaps, mitigate risk, prevent recurrence, and ensure actions are completed consistently with established expectations.
  • Monitor department leading and lagging performance indicators, cultural metrics, and recovery milestones to assess effectiveness of actions, provide timely input on recovery status and trends, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure department leaders develop teams through training, coaching, field engagement, reinforcement of standards, and effective employee engagement in work preparation and execution, while supporting leadership bench strength and succession planning within the department.
  • Foster open communication, constructive challenge, professionalism, pride in work, and quality outcomes within the assigned department and across interfacing work groups to enhance engagement, trust, and alignment with recovery objectives.
  • Coordinate with station, fleet, corporate, and oversight organizations as directed to support alignment with company expectations, best practices, and department recovery governance.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management, including but not limited to support of station initiatives, recovery activities, and special assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical) or related science with 10 years of related experience OR
  • Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 10 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
  • Associates degree in engineering (chemical, civil/structural, electrical, industrial, mechanical or nuclear) or related science with 12 years of power plant experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 14 years of nuclear power plant experience
  • Supervisory or managerial experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Current or prior PWR Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification
