Description
Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
5+ years experience in robotics, automation, NPD, or complex electromechanical products
SolidWorks (3D modeling, large assemblies, configurations, drawings, revision control)
Mechanical design for electromechanical hardware including sheet metal parts and assemblies
Manufacturing release experience including prototype-to-production ramp, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and production documentation
Hands-on build, test, verify/validate, and troubleshoot hardware through DVT and production.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes: sheet metal, machining, welding, injection molding, and cable routing.
Experience with ECO processes, BOM management, and supplier/manufacturing documentation.
Responsibilities:
Design and validate mechanical and electromechanical components for autonomous mobile robot platforms from concept through production release.
Own CAD models, drawings, GD&T application, tolerance stack-ups, and BOM documentation to support manufacturing release.

Partner with manufacturing, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on DFM/DFA, cost, quality, and scalability through pilot and production.
