Sr. Mechanical Engineer, P.E.

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer, P.E. to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role supports EPC and engineering design projects for oil & gas, petrochemical, and data center clients.
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer for this position will be responsible for the development of mechanical and piping design of energy, midstream, petrochemical facilities and data centers. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team and independently to perform design development, equipment specifications, calculations, safety and code compliance as it pertains to the design of Energy Facilities.

Qualifications
10 years' experience working with process engineers on mechanical equipment, updating P&ID''s, sizing pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Licensure of Professional Engineering in Louisiana/Texas
Proven ability to interpret and apply applicable codes and standards including:
ASME BPVC Section VIII
ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
API 610, 674/675/676, 682
API 520/521, API 620, API 650, API 12C
Title 49 CFR Parts 190-199
Experience working with process engineers on mechanical equipment
Experience with Caesar II pipe stress a plus.
