    A Senior Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing mechanical systems and creating detailed documentation using Autodesk Inventor. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle— from requirements gathering to final design and project management. You'll collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to deliver custom automation solutions.

    Required:
    • Strong understanding of machine design fundamentals.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proven experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D modeling software.
    • Knowledge of materials, machining costs, and budget-conscious design. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic AutoCAD.
    • Understanding of machine controls systems and able to read schematics.
    • Experience with pneumatic/hydraulic systems and motor sizing.
    • Familiarity with fluid dynamics and vacuum/blower system design.
    Preferred:
    • BS in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of experience or 10+ years of relevant machine design experience.
    • Training in Inventor or SolidWorks (AS in Machine Design Technology or equivalent experience).
    • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
    • Field service or assembly experience; ability to troubleshoot and debug machinery.
    Responsibilities:
    • Design 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical machines based on sketches, concepts, or customer mark-ups.
    • Prepare drawing packages and bills of material (BOMs) for custom automation machines.
    • Research product specifications, contact vendors, and obtain quotations.
    • Support engineering standards improvement and participate in hands-on shop work.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
    • Present designs in customer review meetings.
    • Delegate tasks and review/check drawings before engineering release.
    • Work with controls engineers to develop Sequences of Operation. Coordinate with machine assemblers and fabricators.
