    Description

Amazon Leo is Amazon"s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable broadband connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From households to small businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve communities and organizations operating in places without dependable internet access.

We are seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to define and lead the marketing automation and lead management strategy that powers Amazon Leo"s B2B and B2G marketing engine. This role owns the Marketo platform and its integration layer across our marketing tech stack - including the critical Marketo-to-Salesforce connection that governs lead scoring, qualification, routing, and attribution. You will architect scalable systems, establish operational frameworks, and drive cross-functional alignment to ensure marketing operations accelerates pipeline generation and revenue outcomes as we scale globally.

This is a senior individual contributor role that requires you to operate at both the strategic and architectural level while maintaining the technical depth to make sound platform decisions. You will set the vision for how marketing automation, lead management, and campaign operations evolve as Amazon Leo enters new markets and business lines. You will influence partner teams - Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and regional marketing - to adopt shared standards, and you will build the operational foundations (self-service tooling, governance models, Centers of Excellence) that allow the organization to scale without linear headcount growth.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Define and own the B2B/G marketing operations strategy, platform roadmap, and integration architecture supporting Amazon Leo"s global expansion
    • Architect Marketo at scale - workspace structures, program templates, tokenization, and governance models that enable distributed teams to self-serve while maintaining compliance and data integrity
    • Own the lead management framework end-to-end: lifecycle stages, scoring/qualification models tied to revenue outcomes, routing logic, and Marketo-to-Salesforce sync reliability
    • Drive cross-functional alignment with Sales Operations on shared data models, attribution methodology, SLAs, and pipeline handoff processes
    • Build and evolve the integration layer connecting Marketo with adjacent platforms (Treasure Data, Braze, iCapture, Jifflenow), defining data contracts and sync logic
    • Establish a Center of Excellence - intake processes, templates, documentation, and training that shift routine execution to marketing teams
    • Own data quality and compliance at a systems level - enrichment pipelines, normalization rules, and audit mechanisms that maintain health at scale
    • Define operational and business metrics that tie marketing operations to pipeline velocity, conversion, and revenue attribution to inform investment decisions

    Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    A day in the life

You start by checking system health - lead sync, scoring performance, campaign queue. When something breaks, you"re designing the systemic fix, not just patching it.

You"ll consult with demand gen on nurture architecture for a new vertical, then align with sales ops on routing logic that"s impacting lead handoff. Later, you"re scoping a new integration - mapping how event data should flow into your scoring model and trigger the right follow-up sequences.

Your focus is what"s next: new markets, new channels, scaling ahead of demand.

So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
