- Cross-Functional Communication: Author detailed test documentation, station user guides, and concise issue summaries for operators, cross-functional engineering teams, and executive management.
- Offshore Factory Support & Travel: Support remote contract manufacturing teams across time zones and travel internationally to Asia (e.g., Vietnam) as needed (less than 25%) for factory bring-up, test station validation, and build support.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Firmware Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience as a Manufacturing Test Engineer.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing test engineering, electrical design validation, or embedded systems testing.
- Scripting & Command Line: Strong proficiency in Python and Unix/Linux shell scripting for test automation, data processing, and command-line execution.
- Hardware & Test Infrastructure: Proven experience reading schematics/block diagrams, setting up embedded Linux stations, provisioning network test environments, and debugging physical test fixtures.
- Board Debugging: Direct experience using common test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, meters) and debugging hardware interfaces (serial, bus, network).
- International Travel: Willingness and capability to travel internationally to manufacturing sites in Asia (e.g., Vietnam) for on-site factory bring-up (less than 25% travel expected).
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- High-Volume or Automotive Manufacturing: Prior experience supporting high-volume consumer hardware or automotive-grade hardware manufacturing lines.
- Optics & Vision Testing: Hands-on experience with optical systems, camera modules, or camera system validation.
- RF & Wireless Testing: Familiarity with RF test equipment (e.g., LitePoint) and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular test flows.
- Cloud & Security Provisioning: Exposure to AWS cloud tools and device provisioning architecture (certificates, device identity, secure setup).
- Offshore CM Support: Experience supporting offshore contract manufacturers (CMs) remotely across conflicting time zones.
