    Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

    Location/Type: Phoenix, AZ. Direct-Hire.

    Department: Manufacturing

    Reports To: Operations Manager

    Position Summary:

    The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads process development and continuous improvement initiatives across electronics and battery production lines. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to enhance product quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting new product introductions. The position also provides technical leadership and mentorship to drive manufacturing excellence.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    ·       Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to meet efficiency, quality, and AS9100 standards

    ·       Design tooling, fixtures, and production equipment

    ·       Provide daily technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues

    ·       Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput

    ·       Analyze costs and recommend process improvements or automation

    ·       Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

    ·       Support new product introductions, including process validation

    ·       Maintain and improve process documentation

    ·       Lead engineering changes and collaborate on long-term manufacturing strategies

    ·       Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices

    ·       Use data and statistical tools to drive decisions and improvements



    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    ·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing)

    ·       5–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a regulated industry

    ·       Experience with NPI, process documentation, and PFMEA

    ·       Strong communication and problem-solving skills

     

    Preferred:

    ·       Master’s degree, Lean Six Sigma certification, aerospace experience, automation/robotics, CAD

     

    Additional Requirements:

    ·       Ability to work extended hours as needed

    ·       Lift up to 25 lbs and stand/sit for extended periods

    ·       Must meet U.S. export control (ITAR) requirements
