    Immediate job opening for a Manufacturing Engineer with a multi-billion dollar, 100+ year old global diversified manufacturer of specialty products. This position exists within a high-tech manufacturing facility supporting the production of both auger equipment and power transmission components and was created out of ongoing investment in operational excellence. You will be part of a cross-functional team focused on driving continuous improvement, solving complex production issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the plant.

    This leader will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes while managing plant-wide engineering initiatives. Reports directly to the Engineering Manager and partners closely with operations, maintenance, and safety teams.

    Select Responsibilities

    • Lead continuous improvement projects that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase plant safety, including welding optimization, time studies, and workflow design.
    • Manage complex, cross-functional projects with responsibility for budgeting, timelines, contractor oversight, and execution of new technologies.
    • Perform detailed root cause analyses, implement corrective actions, and monitor outcomes to ensure sustainable process improvements.
    • Serve as a technical resource on mechanical/electrical design, pneumatics, hydraulics, controls, and gauging systems.
    • Promote a culture of safety by conducting audits, recommending enhancements, and supporting training efforts across departments.
    • Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to design and implement process improvements.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
    • 3+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience
    • Strong background in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical/electrical systems
    • CAD proficiency; experience with simulation software preferred
    • ERP knowledge, SAP strongly preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite

    Preferred

    • Welding experience or certification (CWI)
    • Experience with tooling/die 
    • Familiarity with API certification standards
    • Time study experience and Lean/CI methodology knowledge
