Description

 

The Senior Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing on all downstream commercialization and omnichannel promotional strategies. This includes go-to-market execution and ongoing commercialization, brand building, lifecycle management, promotional activities, and sales enablement.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Go-to-market execution

  • Lead the execution of product launch plans and commercialization efforts, ensuring a successful market entry.
  • Facilitate cross-functional commercial execution by driving alignment among key stakeholders in Sales, Operations, R&D, Clinical/Regulatory, and Quality departments.

Sales enablement

  • Develop comprehensive content and tools, such as marketing collateral, training materials, competitive response strategies, and objection handling guides, to empower the sales team in effectively driving top-line growth.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and support throughout the sales process by collaborating with key stakeholders in strategic marketing, sales training, and customer service.

Positioning and messaging

  • Define clear value propositions in partnership with Strategic Marketing, ensuring consistency of messaging across all brand activities.
  • Utilize positioning and a deep understanding of market dynamics to deliver tailored messaging to healthcare professionals (HCPs), hospital administrators, value analysis committees (VACs), and other key audiences.

Integrated marketing

  • Plan and execute omnichannel campaigns, including digital, print, events, KOL engagement, and peer-to-peer education, that build brand awareness, generate demand, support conversion, and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive tradeshow strategy to maximize brand exposure.

Market intelligence

  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape to understand competitive positioning and messaging.
  • Gather voice-of-customer insights and relay learnings back to Strategic Marketing and R&D for informed decision-making.

KOL and customer engagement

• Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and coordinate advisory boards, case studies, and testimonial programs to enhance credibility and market presence.

Metrics and optimization

  • Track campaign performance, assess sales funnel impact, and analyze market share to inform strategic adjustments.
  • Leverage data-driven decision-making to guide and optimize marketing strategies for improved outcomes.

Required

  • Minimum 7 years of marketing experience in medical devices, diagnostics, or a related healthcare field
  • Demonstrated success in product commercialization and sales enablement
  • Strong understanding of hospital buying processes and healthcare stakeholders
  • Ability to translate clinical and technical data into customer-centric messaging
  • Experience working within FDA/regulatory guidelines for promotional materials
  • Proficiency in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Slack
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience working and managing relationships with external agencies and contractors
  • Adept at data-driven marketing and decision making

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in life sciences, marketing, or related discipline
  • Experience with Class II/III medical devices
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Veeva, etc.)
  • Familiarity with use of social media and digital tools for promotional activities (LinkedIn, SEO/SEM)
  • Familiarity with AI tools for productivity and marketing/project management automation
  • Background in a specific therapeutic area or procedure relevant to our portfolio (e.g., cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, thrombectomy)

 

Compensation Range
$180,000—$210,000 USD
